The family of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg expressed their displeasure with the new nominees for the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Leadership Award, named after the liberal icon.

Some of the nominees include Martha Stewart, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Milken, Elon Musk and Rupert Murdoch.

Ginsburg's family said in a statement, according to The Washington Post, that the award going to conservative billionaires like Musk and Murdoch is “an affront to the memory of our mother and grandmother.”

The family also said, without singling out any of the names of the nominees, that they believed the Dwight D. Opperman Foundation, which gives out the award, has strayed from understanding the mission of the award.

“Her legacy is one of deep commitment to justice and to the proposition that all persons deserve what she called ‘equal citizenship stature’ under the Constitution,” the family’s statement added. “She was a singularly powerful voice for the equality and empowerment of women, including their ability to control their own bodies.”

A former clerk for Ginsburg also said the nominees were “deeply worrisome," according to The Hill.
