Media personality Megyn Kelly said there is something to be learned from Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan’s acceptance speech.

Quan won the Academy Award for best supporting actor for his role in Everything Everywhere All at Once on Sunday and gave an emotional speech that touted his appreciation for the “American dream.”

“My journey started on a boat. I spent a year in a refugee camp, and somehow I ended up here on Hollywood’s biggest stage,” Quan said. “They say stories like this only happen in the movies. I cannot believe this is happening to me. This, this is the American dream.”

“Dreams are something you have to believe in. I almost gave up on mine. To all of you out there, please keep your dreams alive,” he added.

During her SiriusXM The Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly praised Quan’s speech, saying, “we need more of that.”

“He loves America and he’s not afraid to say it,” Kelly said. “A lot of immigrants who come to the country are the ones who love the country the most and are the biggest proselytizers of it. So it was wonderful to see him get up there and remind people of how awesome living in the United States and being in this country is for all of us.”

“Good for him, glad he won,” Kelly added.

Kelly noted that she did not watch the Academy Awards ceremony, saying she’s “not into it” because “they went woke.”

However, in addition to commending Quan, she praised Academy Award winner for best actress Michelle Yeoh, 60, for her speech that encouraged women to never think they are past their prime, a comment interpreted to be a shot at CNN host Don Lemon.

“Love that,” Kelly said. “She looks amazing. And it was a middle finger to Don Lemon. As I told you that was not a Left-Right issue. That was just a ‘Are you a moron or not?’ issue.”

In February, CNN This Morning host Don Lemon suggested that Nikki Haley, 51, was past her prime after she announced her bid as a 2024 Republican presidential candidate.
