Texas representative informs the federal government of tragic boating accidents that claimed all his constituents' guns and ammo ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Texas Rep. Bryan Slaton just submitted a resolution (H.C.R. No. 54) in the Texas Legislature to inform the federal government of a series of "alleged boating accidents" that occurred across Hunt, Hopkins, Van Zandt, and possibly other counties.

The alleged boating accidents caused all the private gun owners in those counties to lose all their guns and ammo, but thankfully resulted in no injury or loss of life.

Reenactment of all of Texas's privately owned firearms and ammunition sinking in an alleged boating accident.

It seems Texas is finding it necessary to inform the federal government to save them some trouble down the road should the latter decide to further degrade the Second Amendment:

The Texas House of Representatives and Senate submit the notification to the federal government, the current presidential administration, and any future administration that any attempt to buyback, confiscate, or register some or all firearms, accessories, and ammunition will not be possible or necessary in the counties of Hunt, Hopkins, VanZandt, and possibly other counties due to this series of alleged boating accidents.

Something tells me Rep. Slaton is a Babylon Bee reader:

Okay Florida, the bar for trolling the federal government has been moved up a notch.

Let's see what you got.
