Christmas is just days away and many are still searching for the perfect gift for under the tree.

The company, CouponBirds, was curious to see how many South Carolinians wait until the last minute to buy gifts.

They surveyed 3,150 people to find out just how many people wait until Christmas Eve to buy their partners a gift for the next day and found more than one-third of men in South Carolina (39%, or extrapolated to over 356,000 men) wait until Christmas Eve to buy gifts for their partners. On the other hand, 18% percent of women were guilty of the same panic purchase.

The survey also found that 54% admit that buying their partner’s Christmas gift causes anxiety.

One in three admit they have secretly re-sold a gift their partner gave them for Christmas.

Another interesting fact they found was that 52% said they will be spending less on their partner this Christmas due to inflation.
