Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) still owes $8,371 in campaign bills, according to an email his campaign sent out Tuesday to supporters of his reelection bid he lost three weeks ago.
Maloney’s campaign sent out the email with a heading that says he is “reaching out to my most loyal supporters with one last request.”

“I wish I didn’t have to ask, but I refuse to accept that only billionaires should run for office,” the fundraising email says, per Mid Hudson News. “So, I’m humbly asking: Can I count on you to chip in $15 and help me pay off this campaign debt?”
